Fall 2019 Reading Program

Reading Program for Adults

From September 1 - November 30, track your reading time, write a review, complete a book title search, or take an online class for entries into our drawings for gift cards and other prizes. Everything you need is available at the Information Desk or online at .

Participate as much as you like and then turn in all your entries before the library closes on November 30.

What are the prizes?

Drawings will be held during the first week of December. Two grand prize winners will receive a $50 gift card from their choice of Anderson Seed & Garden, The Book Table, or Amazon.com. Ten other winners will choose from a selection of smaller prizes.

What can I read?

Anything counts: books, newspapers, magazines, articles on the Web, listening to audiobooks, etc. If you are looking for a good book, check out the reading suggestions found on our Books and Reading pages where our adult services librarians have compiled suggested reading lists, both fiction and nonfiction.

Participate in any or all of the following ways

Track Your Reading
Mark the hours you read or listen to a book Sep-Nov on the bookmark provided or submit online (we don't care how or what you read). More bookmarks are available upon request.
Earn one entry into the drawing for every five hours of reading.
Write a Review
Write a short review of a book, audiobook or article you have read Sep-Nov on the sheet provided or online. More sheets are available upon request.
Earn one entry into the drawing for every book review.
Complete a Book Title Search
Complete the challenged book title search sheet provided. Earn five entries into the drawing for a completed title search puzzle.
Earn five additional entries for each of the book titles included in the puzzle you read during the season.
Take an Online Class
Take a course from either CreativeBug or Universal Class. Fill out and turn in the short form provided for classes completed from Sep-Nov. More sheets are available upon request.
Earn five entries for each course taken.
