The Convicts: The Curse of The Jolly Stone is really interesting. This book is about a boy that struggles for his life. The beginning talks Tom Tin. His family is having problems. His father was sent to jail, because he didn't have enough to pay his debts.

One day Tom was going to see his father, on the way he saw an old man. The old blind man thought that he was a threat so he went over to Tom and started to fight with him. Tom nearly died, someone had shot the old blind man. Someone got there before he was accused of a murder. Some one named Worms found him and took him with him before the guards grabbed him. He took him to the cemetery. Worms started to dig for a body. When they took out the body Tom was surprised because the dead body was his twin. He was exactly like him.

A villager found Tom and called the rest of the villagers that had found him then that same day they took him to the jury and the jury found him guilty and even though Tom did not kill him he was sent to sea for 7 years without returning. So while he was on the boat the ship that they had took him to he met this kid he was barely 9 in a half his name was Midgley he became Toms friend together they were planning there escape.
