This is a great re-telling of the classic fable, East of the Sun, West of the Moon. (Troll princess changes a handsome prince into a polar bear; prince must find a girl to live with him for 1 year and 1 day without seeing him as a man; girl inevitably smuggles a candle and drips wax on him while he's sleeping which wakes him up and he is spirited away to marry the troll princess; girl must travel to the place east of the sun and west of the moon to find him and break the spell.)

I like the twist the author puts in about the girl's brother and previous captives of the Troll Princess.

This is a very fun re-incarnation of the King Arthur legends. I think Meg Cabot did a great job using the basic character traits from the original story and re-creating them in a modern high school setting.
