This is a very original story in the Fantasy genre. If you are looking for something that's not the same old poor attempt at copying Tolkien, Crown Duel, with it's sequel Court Duel; may be the answer. It is set in a fantasy world, but has little magic.

Meliara and her brother are descended from the royal line. They hat the tyrant who is on the throne, and stage an uprising against him. The rebels set traps, but Meliara is caught in one, and the enemy finds her. Will the handsome but snobbish Marquis de Shevraeth turn her over to the King? Will she ever escape to win the crown? Will she be able to ignore her stuffy nose when taking on the enemy?

Alas, he is an awful plagiarist.

Eragon, and the subsuquent sequels are written by a fairly talented young man, who began writing the book at 15. For your average teen, he is a decent author, but the story is all too familar to Tokien, Mcaffrey, and Star Wars fans.

If you are new to the fantasy genre, and you are not obsessed with grammar, it would probably be a very enjooyable one-time read. And one thing going for it, is that it is better than the movie.
