2009 Teens' Top Ten

As part of Teen Read Week, more than 11,000 teens across the nation voted for their favorite books from the previous year. The winning books, listed below, are the 2009 Teens' Top Ten:

Teen Read Week

It's Teen Read Week! Visit the library to play games, win prizes, and grab a good book.

October 12, 13, and 14 3:30-5:30 pm: Get a prize just for stopping by the library and saying Hi.

October 15: Kick-off meeting for Teen Advisory Board.

And The Six Word Winners Are . . .

Congratulations to the winners of the Say it in Six! Win Big! six-word story contest. The writers of the following stories each received an MP3 player as a prize for submitting the winning stories:

-The sun set over Death's victory.
-Missing: kilt and motorboat without anchor.

With so many creative and entertaining stories submitted, it was tough to pick a winner. So we're giving everyone an honorable mention. Here are all the other stories that were submitted for the contest.

-She said no; he said yes.
-Loving life. Always ready for more.
-Next year we'll ride wild horses.
-This story is six words long.
-We kiss under a full moon.

Your Lens on Logan - Photography Contest

Say Cheese! As part of our Summer Reading Program, The Logan Library is sponsoring a photography contest for teens with the winner receiving an MP3 player. The theme of the contest is "Your Lens on Logan", and we are looking for photographs that capture Logan through a teenager's eyes. As you go out and have fun this summer, be sure and take your camera along, and submit your best photos to our contest. Visit the Teen Summer Reading Program webpage for more details.
