Teen Tech week was last week, but we're extending the festivities until April 3. You can participate by creating a trailer or a playlist for your favorite book. The winner of each contest will receive a $15 iTunes giftcard. Visit the Teen Tech Week website for more information.

Seen Any Good Books Lately?

Wondering what a book is all about? One way to find out is to check out a book trailer. Book trailers are short, 1-3 minute, movies that give you a feel for what a book is about without giving away the ending. The trailer below is for Love, Stargirl, a popular Young Adult novel.

If you want to watch more books, these sites have more book trailers.

If you want to see if there is a trailer for a specific book try doing a google search for the title of the book and "book trailer". For example, you could google "Love Stargirl Book Trailer". You can also try searcing for the title of a book in YouTube.

I'm Dreaming of a Green Christmas

Come celebrate Christmas with the Logan Library. We will be making recycled Christmas ornaments and decorations, munching on Christmas goodies, and listening to Christmas tunes.

The festivities commence on Thursday December 17 at 4:00 in the Library's Northeast Conference room. Hope to see you there.

Congratulations to the winners of the Say it in Six! Win Big! six-word story contest. The writers of the following stories each received an MP3 player as a prize for submitting the winning stories:

-The sun set over Death's victory.

With so many creative and entertaining stories submitted, it was tough to pick a winner. So we're giving everyone an honorable mention. Here are all the other stories that were submitted for the contest.

Your Lens on Logan - Photography Contest

Say Cheese! As part of our Summer Reading Program, The Logan Library is sponsoring a photography contest for teens with the winner receiving an MP3 player. The theme of the contest is "Your Lens on Logan", and we are looking for photographs that capture Logan through a teenager's eyes. As you go out and have fun this summer, be sure and take your camera along, and submit your best photos to our contest. Visit the Teen Summer Reading Program webpage for more details.
