This week (Sept 28 - Oct 4) is Banned Books Week. Banned Books week is an annual event that celebrates freedom to read or the freedom to express one's opinion even if that opinion might be considered unorthodox or unpopular and stresses the importance of ensuring the availability of those unorthodox or unpopular viewpoints to all who wish to read them. With the 2008 General Election less than six weeks away, The Logan Library has compiled a 2008 Election Guide. This guide is designed to help local voters understand voting procedures and make informed voting decisions. It contains links to:

• Official County and State websites with information for voters about registering, voting times and places, and sample ballots.
• Non-partisan sites with information about candidates and issues.
• Official candidate websites.

We will update the election guide as more information becomes available.

Did you know that the Logan Library provides wireless internet access throughout the entire Library? Most users can simply bring their wireless-enabled laptop computer or other wireless device to the Library and turn it on. The computer will automatically recognize the wireless network, and you will be connected to the internet.
