The Library will be closed on Monday, May 31 in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, June 1.

If you've visited the library in the past few weeks, you've probably noticed our expanded children's area. Improvements include:

• More space!
• New carpet, paint, and lighting.
• Additional children's restrooms.
• A children's reference desk.
• Shelving for children's nonfiction books.

The next phase of the remodeling will begin the last week of May. During this phase of the remodeling we will be removing some walls to open up the space between the library and the hallway that runs the center of the building. This will allow us to open our Family History Collection to the public and provide more public seating areas.


Important: Due to the construction, we are closing the East building entrance beginning Wednesday, May 26. Please remember to enter the library through the West doors.

Book: The Magic of Ordinary Days by Ann Howard Creel

A simple but powerful read about World War II on the homefront.  Howard's novel tells the story of Olivia Dunne, a young woman facing her own trials while trying to find somewhere to belong.  If you liked The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, you will enjoy this beautifully written read as well.  Check it out!
