The Logan Library is now offering access to World Vital Records. This database has family history, genealogy information and genealogy research training. Learn more about your family history and genealogy by searching through more than 1 billion records, including vital records. World Vital Records is available only on computers in the library.

Other databases that can help you research your genealogy include:

• Ancestry Library Edition is similar to the ancestry.com website available to individual subscribers. It contains census records; birth, marriage and death records; immigration records; military records; court, land, and probate records; photos, maps, and more. Ancestry Library Edition is available only on computers in the library.
• HeritageQuest provides access to many resources including census records, books and periodicals, revolutionary war records, and Freedman's bank records. A library card number and pin number are required to access HeritageQuest outside of the library.

Book: The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon

In a future world where a cure for adult autism has been discovered, the hero of this book has to decide whether or not he wants to be "cured".  This book, while written as fiction, gives a good insight to how people with autism think and function in a society of "normal" people.
