Today Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America. If you would like to learn more about our newest President, the library has several books about President Obama. Or if you would like to learn about the men who previously held the post, consider reading a book about past U.S. Presidents.

Book: Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher

This heartwarming novel takes the reader to northern Scotland in winter. Three generations of remotely connected people come together to form a family, turning their simple winter solstice celebration into a warm holiday affair. This is my favorite title by one of my favorite authors, and I reread it every winter as a way to visit old friends in the world she creates.
