Are you looking to buy a new car? Is your washing machine on its last leg? Perhaps you want to save a few dollars at the grocery store? Chances are that if you are interested in doing any of these things that you would turn to Consumer Reports magazine, one of the most trusted resources for information and advice on consumer products. In fact, Consumer Reports magazine is one of the most popular resources that the library provides. But did you know that you don't have to visit the library to use Consumer Reports? That's right, the Logan Library provides free online access to the Consumer Reports website, consumerreports.org. This is the largest paid subscription-based website in the world with 3.3 million paying subscribers. However, with your Logan Library card you can access all of the content on consumerreports.org without any paid subscription fees. Remember to get free access to the Consumer Reports website, you must access it through the Electronic Databases page on the Logan Library website. The Logan Library is now offering access to World Vital Records. This database has family history, genealogy information and genealogy research training. Learn more about your family history and genealogy by searching through more than 1 billion records, including vital records. World Vital Records is available only on computers in the library.
