USU Common Literature Experience
clear

The Beast in the Garden by David Baron has been selected as the 2012 USU Common Literature Experience book. Each year a book is chosen by a selection committee for USU Connections students and the Cache Valley community to read during the summer.

Everyone is also invited to attend the convocation talk by the author at USU on Saturday, August 25 at 9:30 am. For the first time this year, the convocation will be broadcast online at aggiecast.usu.edu and the library's Bonneville Room will be a satellite viewing location. Come watch it with us!

Joseph Anderson, Logan Library's representative on the committee, shares his thoughts about The Beast in the Garden: "This book is an important read for anyone living in the American West, but it's also an exciting and frightening tale because it's true. What happens when modern American cities are once again faced with large predators within their borders?"

Logan Library has four single copies of the book and also a book club kit (generously donated by USU) for our patrons. For more information about the book, the author, or the convocation, visit the USU Common Literature Experience website.
