Helicon West is an open-mic reading/featured readers series for local poets and writers. Creative writers are invited to read up to seven minutes of their original work. Arrive early to sign up. Readings are free, open to the public and uncensored. Sponsored by the USU Writing Center and the Logan Library.

Celebrate the Past, Create the Future

The library will remain open later than normal on Friday August 14th to participate in the CVCA Gallery Walk. We are hosting naturalist artist Scott Doying with music by local musician Robert Linton.

Scott's goal is to create wildlife portraits and art that will increase appreciation and awareness of these magnificent creatures. He loves being outdoors and discovering all that nature has in store and he believes that our humanity depends on how we view all living things.

"Most of my work goes to help with wildlife preservation, especially the wolf in Idaho. I believe that the world and ourselves individually, are richer when we live in harmony with all creatures."
