Cache Valley Story Swap

The Logan Library is excited to announce that, in an effort to strengthen the tradition of storytelling in Northern Utah, it has partnered with the Cache Valley Storytelling Festival to host a monthly Cache Valley Story Swap. The swap will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month.

The next Story Swap will be held:
When: Thursday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Lake Bonneville Room

The swap is open to everyone, and you are invited to come and listen to others, or share a story of your own.

Come take the opportunity to enjoy and practice the art of storytelling.

Logan Library Programming for Seniors

The Logan Library is starting a new series of regular events called Senior Thursdays. These events will be held on the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 PM and will include a variety of presentations and activities.

When: Thursday, August 11 at 1:30 PM
Where: Lake Bonneville Room

The first of these events will be August 11, and the topic of discussion will be the latest research in the fight against Alzheimers, presented by Laura Owen-Keirstead, a program Specialist with the Utah Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Light refreshments will be served.

Authors to Speak at Logan Library

Author-historians E.B. Wheeler and Jeffery Bateman will be the featured speakers at the Friends of the Logan Library Quarterly Meeting.

When: Wednesday, July 20th at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Lake Bonneville Room

Their forthcoming novel, No Peace with the Dawn, chronicles the military enlistment frenzies that swept American universities including the Agricultural College of Utah (USU). This novel weaves real-life and compelling fictional characters into a sweeping tale of war, romance, self-discovery, and sacrifice.

The event is hosted by the Friends of the Logan Library. It is free and the public is invited. Light refreshments will be provided.
