Willa Cather's Timeless Pioneer Novel

Come to the library for a discussion of Willa Cather's My Antonia, led by Dr. Shively.

Dr. Steven Shively is an Associate Professor of English at Utah State University, is a Nebraska native with a life-long interest in Willa Cather. He has published essays on Cather, is an editor of the Willa Cather Review, and serves on the Board of Governors of the Willa Cather Foundation. He appeared onstage with Laura Bush for the dedication of the National Willa Cather Center, is a friend of the "real" Antonia's granddaughter, and has recently returned from presenting a paper at a Willa Cather Symposium in Northern Ireland.

Participants do not have to have participated in the community read of the book to attend.

Food inspired by the book and door prizes will be available for attendees.
