Curtis Miner was born 28 January 1909 in Fairview, Utah, a son of Ernest L. Miner and Theresa Andersen. He married Gwen Johnson[1] 25 June 1930, she passed away 21 March 1982. He married Delpha Lindley Bowen March 11, 1983.[2] He had one daughter and eight stepchildren. He died 30 January 1993 and is buried in the Logan Cemetery.[3]
Mr. Miner was active in the community, serving as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and received the Distinguished Service Award in 1944. He served as mayor of Logan, was president of the Utah Municipal League and was Cache County Treasurer for 12 years. He spent 40 years in the grocery business. Mr. Miner will be remembered by his friends and family for his playing the broomstick fiddle.
Curtis Miner was an active member of the LDS Church and was bishop of the Logan 6th Ward and the Utah State University 2nd Ward. He served 12 years on the High Council. He spent many hours doing temple work including nine years as an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple.[4]
