Walking Challenge (BRHD)

Physical activity helps control weight, but it has other benefits. Physical activity such as walking can help improve health even without weight loss. People who are physically active live longer and have a lower risk for heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, depression, and some cancers.

The Bear River Health Department would like to invite you to participate in this year’s Walking Challenge. The challenge is FREE and gives you the opportunity to win weekly prizes. Be sure to keep an eye out for the bonus challenge each week!

10:00 AM Annual Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day

Kids can catch fish at Skylar's Pond using rods and reels that will be available that day. This free community event is full of hands-on educational activities for youth and their families. Each year, hundreds of youth participate and learn more about water quality, wildlife, plants, recreation.
