Built Environment Exhibit

In commemoration of Utah State University’s 130-year anniversary and the Year of the Arts, the Merrill-Cazier Library presents an exhibit celebrating USU’s Built Environment. The exhibition tells the story of USU’s development and highlights student and community efforts to shape the campus.

The exhibit runs from Jan. 29th through March 2nd.

There will be a grand opening on Feb. 8th in the library atrium at 4:30. Then at 5:30 in room 101 there will be a guest speaker, Martha Bradley Evans, a professor in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Utah.

10:00 AM Living with Hearing Loss

Are you lost in converstation? Can you hear voices but can't understand words? Join us each week for our free course on Living With Hearing Loss.

Adjusting to life with hearing loss can be easier when you are equipped with strategies and knowledge. This class is for those who are hard of hearing, late deafened and the families, co-workers and friends.

4:00 PM Kid's Unplugged

This The Family Place class is a place for your kid's to uplug from technology and connect with new friends! Our interactive workshops help kids learn important social and emotional skills in an active, engaging, and fun environment!

Cost includes all kid's workshops and parent orientation. Call or register online.

  • Ages 5-6: Tuesdays
  • Ages 7-9: Wednesdays
  • Ages 10-12: Thursdays

6:30 PM Logan High Concerto Night

A longstanding LHS tradition, this concert features four outstanding soloists, along with the LHS Philharmonic Orchestra, performing are: Hannah Eves, Daniel Kim, Braden Peterson, and Emily Ransom.

7:00 PM Helicon West Open Mic Night

Helicon West is an open-mic reading/featured readers series for local poets and writers. Creative writers are invited to read up to 7 minutes of their original work. Arrive early to sign up. Readings are free, open to the public and uncensored.

Helicon West provides a regularly-scheduled place and time for members of the writing community to give their work a public voice, with no restrictions on levels of skill and no censorship of ideas or craft. Publication of readers' work is a main goal.

Sponsored by the USU Writing Center and the Logan Library.

7:30 PM The Importance of Being Earnest

Cache Theatre Company is pleased to present Oscar Wilde's trivial comedy for serious people, The Importance of Being Earnest. Two young gentlemen living in 1890's England use the same pseudonym of Ernest to persuade the women of their dreams to fall in love with them, which leads to a comedy of mistaken identities. Earnest has delighted audiences the world over, and is the perfect event for your Valentine's festivities.
