Parade of Gingerbread Homes

With the holiday season here, itÂ’s time again for the 19th Annual Parade of Gingerbread Homes in Downtown Logan.

The event has grown into a much loved local tradition, not only for the architects who design gingerbread creations but for everyone who participates by voting on their favorite edible wonderland. This year, each architect will have a chance to win one of six $100 Grand Prizes! Voting Ballots are available at each site beginning Saturday, December 1st.

This is a self-guided walking tour and the sites and architects include:

Sleigh Rides at Hardware Ranch WMA

Hardware Ranch WMA offers a unique opportunity to view wild Rocky Mountain Elk on a horse drawn sleigh. Beginning Dec 7, 2018 until Feb 11, 2019, Hardware Ranch is open Mon & Fri 12 noon - 4:30pm, and Sat & Sun 10am - 4:30pm. Tickets sold in the Visitors Center. $5 ages 9 & up, $3 & under FREE

Zootah Zoo Lights with Santa's Reindeer

Join us this holiday season for Santa and his Reindeer during Zootah Lights. We will be open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from November 30th to December 29th. Animals and activities in the Learning Center.

November 30th we will be open late! 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm!.

11:00 AM Christmas Silent Auction

Come join us for our 2018 Silent Auction Event at the Logan Library! On Saturday, December 8 come to the Bonneville room, just inside the library entrance, and take a look at some of the items that volunteers have donated this year. From Harry Potter themed goods to kitchen knick-knacks, you'll be able to find gifts for friends and family this holiday while donating to a good cause!

All money gathered at this auction will be used by Candle of Light to help families in third world countries to gather essential goods and teach self reliant living! Anything helps, so make this Christmas season meaningful and join us at the Candle of Light Silent Auction! See you there!

5:00 PM Secrets: Shakespeare and the Connected World

A student-curated exhibit of 16th and 17th century rare books on science, medicine, and magic, from USU Special Collections #&38 Archives. Come learn about the secrets Shakespeare and his contemporaries found hidden in the connected world of nature, the stars, and the human body.

The exhibit will be on display from November 27th thur January 5th.

An opening reception will be held November 27th from 5pm to 7pm.

7:30 PM Light Up The Sky

This satire revolves around a group of New York theater-folk opening a new show in Boston. As the opening night mood swings from optimistic camaraderie to terror of failure and angry recriminations, the friends start to turn against each other. It turns out however, that in spite of the curious reception of the opening night audience, the reviews are favorable and the tables turn once again, but not before the playwright has decided that he is through with the theater.

7:30 PM Christmas with the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra

For our most popular concert of the year, we will be joined by the phenomenally-talented 16-year-old singer, songwriter, and SONY recording artist Lexi Walker. This young Utahn has recently returned from her first world tour, and we are delighted that she will be able to share her talents with us this holiday season. We will also be joined by the Westminster Bell Choir in this joyful celebration of Christmas.
