8:30 AM Run For The River 5k Run/Walk
When you Run (or walk!) For The River you support conservation projects on the Logan River and throughout the Bear River Watershed! Sponsored by Cache Anglers, northern Utah's chapter of Trout Unlimited.

After the 5K, stick around afterwards for the Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day at Willow Park. This is a one-of-kind summertime event!

Registration with t-shirt must be received before noon MST on Friday, May 31. You may register after that time and there will be extra shirts, but your t-shirt size preferences cannot be guaranteed.

Don't want to run but still want to help? BE A VOLUNTEER. E-mail cacheanglers@gmail.com to sign up to help organize the event or to help on the day of the race! Free t-shirts for all volunteers.

9:00 AM Compulsive Eaters Anonymous - HOW Meeting
Can't stop eating?? Compulsive Eaters Anonymous - HOW (CEA - HOW) is a group of individuals who, through shared experience and mutual support, are recovering from compulsive eating. Come to a meeting and start finding hope!

There are no dues or fees for membership. The only requirement is a desire to stop eating compulsively. The results are life changing.

Meetings are held Saturdays 9AM-10AM at the BRAG Office.

10:00 AM Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day
Pack your water bottles, bring the kids, and head to Willow Park West on June 7th for the 13th annual Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day.

The first 300 youth who complete their Bear River Adventure Passport by visiting all stations will receive their choice of a free t-shirt or a free water bottle with this year's winning logo.

Activities include:

  • Learn to fish with experts from the Division of Wildlife Resources
  • Meet the wildlife that call the Bear River Watershed home
  • Fly Tying with Cache Anglers
  • Nature crafts courtesy of Home Depot and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources
  • Historical reenactments by the Old Ephraim Mountain Men
  • Face painting
  • Stream trailer and watershed demonstrations
  • Live music
  • And much more

Thank you to all who made the Bear River Celebration a successful event last year! Over 1,000 people, including youth and families, learned more about the Bear River Watershed through fun, hands-on activities. The Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day was named 2013's Utah Environmental Education Program of the Year by the Utah Society of Environmental Education.

Join us on the first Saturday of each month from 10AM-2PM as we explore a new country and culture. Learn traditional dances, listen to music, eat authentic food, and make tons of fun hands-on arts and crafts projects! Programs are designed to be entertaining for the whole family. Arts and crafts activities are selected to engage kids from ages 3 to 12 and those who are young at heart. Best of all, our Family 1st Saturdays programs are FREE!

2:00 PM Chinese Extravaganza Cultural Workshop
Little Bloomsbury Foundation presents "Chinese Extravaganza Summer and Fall 2013," featuring cultural workshops held Saturdays from 2PM - 3PM in the Logan Library, followed by on-site interview recordings of radio program "Wan Li Lu - 10,000 Miles."

These workshops are free and open to all ages.

7:30 PM Nunsense: a musical comedy
The Old Lyric Repertory Theatre Company presents Nunsense: a musical comedy at the Lyric Theatre.

Come support the Sisters of Hoboken, whose cook, Sister Julia, Child of God (bless her heart), has accidentally poisoned most of the convent. The survivors are putting on a musical variety show to raise money to bury the last four frozen nuns of the 52 dead. Rated Intermediate for mild content.
