Logan Iris Society Flower Show and Garden Tour
The Logan Iris Society is hosting a Flower Show and Iris Garden Tour.

The Flower Show will be held on Friday, May 30th from 1pm - 7pm, and on Saturday, May 31st, from 9am - 4pm:

      The First Presbyterian Church

The Iris Garden Tour will be at the following locations on Saturday, June 7th, beginning in Hyde Park:

10:00 AM Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day
Pack your water bottles, bring the kids, and head to Willow Park West on June 7th for the 13th annual Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day.

The first 300 youth who complete their Bear River Adventure Passport by visiting all stations will receive their choice of a free t-shirt or a free water bottle with this year's winning logo.

Activities include:

  • Learn to fish with experts from the Division of Wildlife Resources
  • Meet the wildlife that call the Bear River Watershed home
  • Fly Tying with Cache Anglers
  • Nature crafts courtesy of Home Depot and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources
  • Historical reenactments by the Old Ephraim Mountain Men
  • Face painting
  • Stream trailer and watershed demonstrations
  • Live music
  • And much more

Thank you to all who made the Bear River Celebration a successful event last year! Over 1,000 people, including youth and families, learned more about the Bear River Watershed through fun, hands-on activities. The Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day was named 2013's Utah Environmental Education Program of the Year by the Utah Society of Environmental Education.

Alterniscapes is a self-guide tour of 9 gardens in Logan, Utah. Saturday, June 7 from 11:00AM-4:00PM. Featureing unique gardens that capitalize on water-wise and Utah native plants for our arid intermountatin region.

Purchase tickers for $5 at the USU Cache County Extension Office, at the Cache Valley Garderners Market (Master Garderners Booth) OR on the dat of the USU Intermountaion Herbarium. This is on the EAST side of the Juncition Building - east of the Edith Bowen School. Go to the parking lot off 850 North 1200 East and follow the signs/ballons. This is where you pick up your tour map. (cash and checks only)

There will also be garden and wildlife information available, along with garden items for sale.
