It’s that time of year to celebrate Baby Animal Days at American West Heritage Center. The event, which welcomes the coming of spring and the arrival of adorable baby animals, is welcoming more baby animals for more family fun! You can pet all sorts of baby animals.

10:00 AM Family First Saturdays

Join us on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. Topics change every month! Learn traditional dances, listen to music, eat authentic food, and make fun hands-on arts and crafts projects! Programs are designed to be entertaining for the whole family. Arts and crafts activities are selected to engage kids from ages 3 to 12 and those who are young at heart. Best of all, our Family 1st Saturdays programs are FREE!

  • February 2nd:
    • Homes are where the heart is! Join us as we take a leap back into time and learn about different styles of homes across the world! If you've ever wondered why houses look the way they do, you won't want to miss this!
  • March 2nd:
    • Culture of the Maya! You'd be surprised what the Mayans did and why! Come by and find out how advanced their culture really was.
  • April 6th:
    • Egyptians Death on the Nile! Join us as we explore what happened on the infamous Nile River! Come and help us build our Egyptian sarcophagus exhibit! You voted and we listened! This exhibit was the #1 most requested theme.
  • May, 4th:
    • Vikings! You think you know everything about Vikings? Join us and break myths about their history. Come by and don't be shy! We have have plenty of hands on activities.
  • June 1st:
    • Horses and Humans! Have you ever wondered how they became such good partners? Come to our monthly event and find out why! Come ready to learn and play. There will be activities for all ages!
  • July 6th:
    • Have you ever been to the land down under, AKA Australia? If not come by this Saturday and explore the diverse cultures and history from this country. Australia is a special country that we often don't hear much about. Come by and find out why it is so unique!
  • August 3rd:
    • Games, History of Fun! If you love games you'll love this event! Join us as we explore games throughout the world and how they are played.
  • September 7th:
    • Islamic textiles are rich in patterns and history. Join us for our monthly event as we learn more about Islamic textiles. As always there will be hands on crafts and activities suitable for all ages. Come visit and find out for yourself!
  • October 12th:
    • Start the Halloween season off right by coming to our Mythical Creatures event! Join us as we dress up as our favorite creatures and learn more about them! Costumes are optional and please dress family friendly.
  • November 2nd:
    • Our favorite event of them all! Join us as we explore culture through food. Come hungry and bring a friend! We do this event once a year and it is always a hit! Don't miss out!
  • December 7th:
    • Weaving & Beading!

11:00 AM Logan Library's Community Fair

11:30 AM Loaves and Fishes Community Meal

Join us for a meal around a shared table and help us build community together! Free and open to all, this meal is hosted by different organizations as we work to get to know others from around the valley. Served from 11:30-1:00.

Held the first and third Saturday of every month. Non-denominational and community supported by a variety of Cache Valley agencies and organizations, including St Thomas, St John's, Prince of Peace, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cache Valley Food Pantry, Volunteer Center, PAWS, and others. All are welcome. The meal is not sponsored by or promoting a specific church or belief.

7:00 PM The Flying Aggie's Hangar Hop

Get your dancing shoes, grab your favorite gal, and come on down to The Flying Aggies' Hangar Hop!

The USU Flight Team in conjunction with the USU Big Band Swing Club is hosting a 1940s dance night. Dance the night away to live music or relax and take in the sights with WWII vehicles on display. Guaranteed to be a wonderful night of fun and one for the memory books. Lessons provided by USU Big Band Swing Club. Period dress is highly enouraged.

This event is open to all persons of any skill level of dance or to those who want to come to hear live jazz music.

7:30 PM American Festival Chorus presents Sancta Civitas

AFCO's 10th Anniversary Season culminates in this glorious concert featuring two masterworks by acclaimed British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. AFCO will join with the Lux Singers and the Cache Children's Choir to perform Vaughan William's oratorio, Sancta Civitas (The Holy City), and cantata Dona Nobis Pacem (Plea for Peace). This is an exceptional opportunity to hear these rarely performed, dramatic, and profoundly moving works.

7:30 PM Contra Dance

Please join us at the Whittier for a community contra dance. These dances are open to the public, so bring your friends and family. Beginners are always welcome. No partner necessary. Each dance is taught. Live music and calling. Great exercise and lots of fun.

Presented by the Bridger Folk Music Society Cache Valley Folk Dancers.

No dances June thru August.
