Come learn about a different topic each Saturday.

October 31: Day of the Dead.

November 7: Humans.

November 14: Anthropology of Warfare.

November 21: Anthropology of Food & Cultures.

December 5: Japanese/ Chinese New Year.

December 12: Year of Astronomy.

The Museum of Anthropology is on the USU campus in the South turret of historical Old Main, room 252. Free parking is available every Saturday in the adjacent lot south of Old Main. Visit the website or call for more information.

"Community Saturdays" are made possible at USU by a grant from the Utah Humanities Council. The grant allows the Museum of Anthropology to offer the program and provide extended hours and activities on Saturdays.

Save the date for Stokes Nature Center's Annual Dinner & Auction Fundraiser.

This year's theme is "flower power." They'll celebrate beautiful blooms as well as 60s culture and color. Here's your chance to dig out that old tie-dyed shirt or dress--or make a new one!

Tickets can be purchased at Fuhriman's Framing & Fine Art (75 S. Main), the USU College of Natural Resources dean's office, or by calling SNC. RSVP by November 3rd.

7:30 PM Thoroughly Modern Millie
Cache Regional Theatre Company kicks off the 2009 holiday season with the rip-roaring, Tony-Award winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. Set in the 1920s and based on the 1967 film, Thoroughly Modern Millie took Broadway by storm in 2002, winning six Tony Awards including Best Musical.

7:30 PM Contra Dance
Come join the Cache Valley Folk Dancers for their monthly first Saturday Contra Dance (No dances will be held for the months of June, July and August). A beginner's workshop will be given for newcomers, beginning at 7:30, followed by the dance at 8:00. (Beginner's are welcome anytime - each dance is taught.) Music will be provided by Leaping Lulu and the dances will be called by Kay Forsyth and other talented callers. Families are welcome. A $5 donation per person is requested at the door.
