9:00 AM Backyard Harvest: Harvesting Honey from Bees
Fresh, local honey from your own backyard! Cache Valley beekeeper Jamie Strange will demonstrate and discuss beekeeping with a focus on fall: how and when to harvest that liquid gold. Get an up-close look at a hive and its bees, and learn about this unique trade.

9:00 AM Compulsive Eaters Anonymous - HOW Meeting
Can't stop eating?? Compulsive Eaters Anonymous - HOW (CEA - HOW) is a group of individuals who, through shared experience and mutual support, are recovering from compulsive eating. Come to a meeting and start finding hope!

There are no dues or fees for membership. The only requirement is a desire to stop eating compulsively. The results are life changing.

Meetings are held Saturdays 9AM-10AM at the BRAG Office.

10:00 AM Family 1st Saturdays at the Museum

Join us on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm as we explore a new country and culture. Learn traditional dances, listen to music, eat authentic food, and make tons of fun hands-on arts and crafts projects! Programs are designed to be entertaining for the whole family. Arts and crafts activities are selected to engage kids from ages 3 to 12 and those who are young at heart. Best of all, our Family 1st Saturdays programs are FREE!

  • July 4th: Explore Afghanistan
    • Everyone is invited to join our scavenger hunt on Afghanistan hidden throughout the museum, view clothing, items, and images of the country, and make kites and learn about kite fighting. Come learn with us and join our free World Explorers Club and explore the cultures of the world with us!

10:00 AM Historic Home Tour

The 2016 Historic Home Tour will be held on September 10th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Vist these beautiful homes and marvel at what innovation and hardwork can accomplish./p>

This year you will see:

  • The oldest rock home in Cache Valley
  • A cabin constructed in 1865 as part of the Mendon Fort
  • Homes lovingly restored after decades of occupation by only raccoons
  • The charming "Storybook House" on Center Street
  • An 1868 hotel, now restored as a private home and photography/art gallery
  • Homes with a mix of historical and contemporary design
  • Historical features such as pocket doors, moldings, hardware, and original wood floors
  • Repurposed antiques
  • A collection of handcart paintings
  • A rare and unusual collection of farm and mining implements

Tickets are available at Lee's Marketplace(Logan & Smithfield), Macey's Food & Drug(Providence & Logan), Newton Market(Newton), and Cache Valley Visitor's Bureau(199 N Main St, Logan).
