Logan Library Storytime Registration

Logan Library's Storytime is a program for children 5 and under that introduces children to books, reading, and the library. Each Storytime we explore a different theme through books, songs, puppet stories, fingerplays, and more!

Registration is required for our preschool Storytime for children ages 3 to 5. It is 30 minute program offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Choose a day and time and go to http://library.loganutah.org/kids/storytime.cfm to register your child. Each registration lasts for 1 block which is six weeks.

Upcoming Registration Dates are as follows:

  • Block 1: Monday, August 18th to Saturday, September 6th
  • Block 2: Monday, October 6th to Saturday, October 25th
  • Block 3: Monday, December 1st to Saturday, January 10th
  • Block 4: Monday, February 9th to Saturday, February 28th
  • Block 5: Monday, March 30st to Saturday, April 18th

For children under three, we have a Toddler Time program Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 11AM that lasts approximately 15 minutes. This is a drop-in storytime and does not require pre-registration.

9:00 AM Monarch Larva and Caterpillar Collection Event

The Cache Valley Wildlife Association is hosting a Monarh larva/caterpillar colleciton event! We will meet for a quick workshop at Nibley City Hall (455 W 3200 S, Nibley) at 9:00 am. We'll be out collecting by 9:30.

Bring a container and lid large enough to hold several milkweed leaves. The larvae will be well cared for, and will morph into butterflies in about a week. We will feed them for 3 days to make certain they are strong enough for long flights. Then they will be marked with the small "Utah Code" color and pattern and released to begin their migration. If we can mark and release a good number of them, scientists in California may have a chance to spot them.

9:00 AM Walk for the 50 Wilderness Anniversary

The Logan Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Utah State University, Backcountry Horseman, Leave No Trace and the American West Heritage Center invites the public to join them for the 50th Wilderness Anniversary, 1-Mile Walk for Wilderness Event.

Join us on the first Saturday of each month from 10AM-2PM as we explore a new country and culture. 11:00 AM Friends of the Logan Library Book Sale

Through a generous donation from Gene Needham, owner of the former store “Books of Yesterday,” the Friends of the Logan Library will host a large-scale book sale in the old Car Care Center at 321 N Main St, beginning Saturday, August 16, 2014. The sale will continue into October.

Over 30,000 books will be available for purchase, as well as some wooden tables and shelving units from the recently vacated store, all at extremely low “yard sale” type prices.

11:30 AM Loaves and Fishes Community Meal

Join with us for a free community meal designed to feed not only hungry bodies but also provide connection and fellowship with others. Open to all!
