VITA - Tax Assistance
With the help of IRS certified volunteers, come get your federal and state taxes done for free. Simply call 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment.

VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, is a program implemented through the statewide Earn It. Keep It. Save It. Coalition made up of local community partners. The coalition works to recruit IRS certified volunteers that provide free tax preparation services to low to moderate-income households (incomes below $51,000 in 2012).

Sites are available Monday - Friday beginning January 28, 2013 - April 12, 2013.

12:00 PM Cache Valley Arts Summit
Our guest speaker for May's brown bad event is Chris Bray, Executive Director for Utah Nonprofits Association. UNA is looking to expand training initiatives to rural areas including Cache Valley. Chris will tell us more about UNA resources and secure input from those in attendance.

As always, we'll also spend a few minutes sharing arts events in our community. All artists, arts organizations and related non-profits are welcome to attend. RSVP is encouraged.

7:30 PM Violet: the musical
The Caine College of the Arts presents Violet: the musical. This event is rated M for Mature and not recommended for patrons under the age of 13.

Violet is a young woman on a journey, both physically and emotionally, as she travels across the US to find a televangelist preacher she believes can heal a disfiguring facial scar. On her way she meets two soldiers, Monty and Flick, one white and the other African American, who help her to realize what being beautiful means.

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone or in person at the CCA Box Office.
