Parade of Gingerbread Homes

With the holiday season here, it’s time again for the 18th Annual Parade of Gingerbread Homes in Downtown Logan.

The event has grown into a much loved local tradition, not only for the architects who design gingerbread creations but for everyone who participates by voting on their favorite edible wonderland. This year, each architect will have a chance to win one of six $100 Grand Prizes! Voting Ballots are available at each site beginning Saturday, December 2, 2017.

This is a self-guided walking tour and the sites and architects include:

3:30 PM Teen Tuesday: So Crafty!

Looking for something fun to do after school or during the summer break? Then come to the library for Teen Tuesdays. We'll be doing something fun every Tuesday at 3:30 pm.

If you like to create things or show off your artistic skills, this activity is for you. On the first Tuesday of each month we'll make a different craft. Some months we'll recycle cereal boxes into pencil cases. Other months we'll make wallets out of duct tape. Every month we'll have fun, and you'll get a creation to take home.

6:00 PM Las Posadas

Join us for a Cultural Hispanic Holiday Tradition of Las Posadas.

he Latino Advisory Committee and the Logan Library will be hosting a community Las Posadas activity on Tuesday December 5th. Las Posadas means "the inns" and is a reenactment of Mary and Joseph seeking a place to stay and ultimately being invited in to have a big community party. There will be piñata and treats for the kids. Everyone is invited, not just the Hispanic Community. It is a great chance to come and experience another culture!

The Logan Tabernacle presents its 2017 Christmas Concert Series, "Tidings of Comfort & Joy." All performances are free and open to the public and begin at 7:00 pm.

7:00 PM Sage Utah: Aging with Dignity and Pride

Enhancing the lives of our LGBTQ Senior Community by meeting the 5 human needs of our elder queer community: physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual. Geared towards those aged 50+, but all are welcome.

SAGE Utah is a program of the Utah Pride Center and is an affiliate of the national SAGE organization based in New York. SAGE Utah seeks to build a strong LGBTQ community, advocate for safe and affirming care for LGBTQ seniors, and impact societal outlook on aging in a positive way.
