8:00 PM The Porch - Utah's Live Storytelling Show

The Porch, Utah's live storytelling show, will be in Logan at The Dansante this Thursday, October 30th to present a special Halloween show with the theme: What Was I Afraid Of? The show will feature stories from local Utah storytellers telling stories about things that used to frighten them.

The Porch is a storytelling show promoting storytelling as an art form to not only entertain, but also allowing people to further grow and develop empathy, bringing them together and helping them to better understand one another. The Porch is a venue for expressing diverse personalities and perspectives, unique experiences, and the personal cultural struggles we go through. Stories on The Porch are local, often humorous, sometimes sad or spiritual, but are always true and heartfelt, and together paint a rich and complex picture of the individuals that make up a particular community. The Porch follows a similar format those who listen to radio shows such as This American Life and the Moth will already be familiar with, and is a must see for anyone who enjoys those programs. Among the storytellers for this show are local comedians Spence Roper and Mike Grover.
