Friends of the Logan Library Sem-Annual Book Sale

Friends of the Logan Library are offering a huge 3-day book sale in the Lake Bonneville Room at the Logan Library.

The Saturday is a members only first come sale. Memberships will be available at the door. Individual memberships are $5 and family memberships $10. Hours are 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Monday and Tuesday are open to all. Prices for all days will be $1.00 for hardbacks, $.50 for paperbacks, and $5.00 for a bag of books. Cash and personal checks are accepted.

It's time to stock up on some good books to read! Mark your calendars and come on down to the Friends of the Logan Library Book Sale.

The Block Film and Art Festival

The Block festival, held September 28th & 29th will transform Logan’s Historic Theatre District into a celebration of independent vision and artistic expression. The 2018 lineup includes 50+ films, 40+ bands and musicians, 20+ art installations & exhibitions, topical panel discussions, a Robotics workshop... and more!

General Admission passes are $30 and $15 for students and allow entry to all film screenings and select music events. All other events are free to attend

Passes are available at Morty’s, Caffe Ibis, The Waffle Iron, and The Island Market.

Utah Plein Air Exhibit (Brigham)

During the Brigham City Museum’s Plein Air Exhibition, every corner visitors turn in the gallery they will experience the immensity and power of Utah’s landscapes. The scenic paintings will be on display Sept. 8 through Nov. 3. Admission is free.

“En plein air” is a French expression that refers to the 19th century style of painting outdoors.

Whispering Canyons presents a 5K Fun Run and Walk! All proceeds go to Whispering Canyons Foundation.

ASI in Petersboro is hosting a MUD RUN for KIDS & ADULTS on Saturday SEPTEMBER 29, 2018 as a fundraiser for the GUATEMALA CHILDREN’S FUND.

Proceeds will go towards helping 12 schools in the Lake Atitlan area in Guatemala with educational tools and supplies to help elevate their standard of living and give them more hope.

Rockhill Creamery is located in Richmond, a small town in Northern Utah's beautiful Cache Valley about 90 miles north of Salt Lake City. An eclectic group of adult students attend the calss of Aaron, a 38-year-old writer from Greenwich Village, who is painfully aware that his failed career forced him to take a teaching job. Over the semester, the pupils become increasingly honest in their writing and cracks appear in their small-town community. Troubled student, Joan, strikes up a friendship with Aaron that may turn into something more. See the students' lives unfold with triumphs and tragedy that can be traced back to their time spent in Aaron's class in 1967.
