The Block Film and Art Festival

The Block festival, held September 28th & 29th will transform Logan’s Historic Theatre District into a celebration of independent vision and artistic expression. The 2018 lineup includes 50+ films, 40+ bands and musicians, 20+ art installations & exhibitions, topical panel discussions, a Robotics workshop... and more!

General Admission passes are $30 and $15 for students and allow entry to all film screenings and select music events. All other events are free to attend

Passes are available at Morty’s, Caffe Ibis, The Waffle Iron, and The Island Market.

Utah Plein Air Exhibit (Brigham)

During the Brigham City Museum’s Plein Air Exhibition, every corner visitors turn in the gallery they will experience the immensity and power of Utah’s landscapes. The scenic paintings will be on display Sept. 8 through Nov. 3. Admission is free.

“En plein air” is a French expression that refers to the 19th century style of painting outdoors.

5:00 PM Cache Pride Center Youth Groups

Every Friday evening, the Cache Pride Center provides a safe and supportive space for LGBTQ youth, ages 14 to 17.

We also just added a LGBTQ+ youth and LGBTQ+ affirming youth group every Friday for ages 10 to 14.

In each group we:

  • we provide a hot meal and check in with our youth
  • tailor to needs of youth through support groups, individually crafted lessons to develop lifelong skills, creative expression workshops, peer support
  • provide an hour of tutoring during the school year
  • assist in accessing affirming health care, mental health care, local organizations, Suicide prevention, and additional relevant resources

Our mission at the Cache Pride Center is to transform and support Cache Valley Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Pansexual, plus (LGBTQIAP+) communities through support groups, comprehensive programming, suicide prevention, mentoring, advocacy, and training devised to promote positive outlooks and change within underserved populations.

Our corn maze is a ton of fun. From our Hay forts to the Haunted River trail it is our goal to offer a variety of activities associated with fall and Halloween to make Little Bear Bottoms fun for people of all ages.

  • Friday: 5 pm to 11 pm
  • Saturday: Noon to 11 pm

6:00 PM Gallery Walk at the Library

The Logan Library will be open late until to 9:00 pm, to participate in the Cache Valley Center for the Arts Gallery Walk, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm.

Please join us for a relaxing evening as the library joins the Cache Valley Center for the Arts Gallery Walk.

The library will be displaying and exhibit from Artes de Mexico en Utah on the classical Mexican artist, Jose Maria Velasco, as part of the Cache Arts Gallery Walk on September 28 from 6-9 PM. This display is part of the Logan Library’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Logan Library thanks Artes de Mexico en Utah, NALAC, Utah Division of Arts and Museums, the University of Utah's Center for Latin American Studies, and Wells Fargo for presenting and funding this exhibit.

Light refreshments will be served.

6:00 PM Gallery Walk

Join us for a stroll around Logan’s Historic Downtown. Each Gallery Walk features fantastic art from budding young talent to world class artists. The store fronts and historic buildings of Logan’s downtown make one large art gallery for the many fascinating art pieces that are displayed.

Maps of the Gallery Walk route can be found on the website, at Cache Valley Center for the Arts (43 S Main), or at the participating businesses, which will be marked with the official yellow banner (a list of participating businesses can also be found on the website). The Gallery Walk is free and open to the public. Some art work will be available for purchase.

An eclectic group of adult students attend the calss of Aaron, a 38-year-old writer from Greenwich Village, who is painfully aware that his failed career forced him to take a teaching job. Over the semester, the pupils become increasingly honest in their writing and cracks appear in their small-town community. Troubled student, Joan, strikes up a friendship with Aaron that may turn into something more. See the students' lives unfold with triumphs and tragedy that can be traced back to their time spent in Aaron's class in 1967.
