8:00 AM How to Trail Run

Want to learn to be a better trail runner? Spend a morning with Salomon! Workshop participants will go for a 3 mile, easy trail run during which a Salomon expert will demonstrate uphill/downhill technique, talk about running through technical terrain, and give you personalized pointers to help make you a better trail runner! The workshop is free! We’ll have a fun morning of running, demos and giveaways from Salomon, and refreshments.

Meet at First Dam Park/Canyon Park Entrance - We will then carpool to Logan River Trail after being fitted for demos.

Please no dogs, thank you.

10:00 AM USU Extension Gardening Series: Tree and Shrub Selection

Selecting the right plant for the right place is the most important landscape decision. In this workshop, JayDee Gunnell, horticulturist with USU Extension, will discuss the pros and cons of many of the trees and shrubs commonly sold in local garden centers and nurseries.

This spring series of garden-related classes and workshops are sponsored by USU Extension. Each workshop will offer participants a hands-on educational experience that is sure to help any backyard hobbyist become a better gardener.
