Utah Plein Air Exhibit (Brigham)

Painters and nature crossed paths during the Brigham City Museum’s Fourth Annual Plein Air Competition. The event was open to all ages. Works submitted will hang in the museum Sept. 8 through Nov. 11. Each artist also submitted a small painting for a fundraiser for the museum at a minimal cost. These pieces are also on display.

Winners of the competition are as follows: Susette Gertsch of Midway, First Place for “The Wild Garden”; Don Miskin of Logan, Second Place for “Farm to Market Road’; and G. Russell Case of Brigham City, Third Place for “Morning Flight.” All of these paintings received purchase prizes and will enter the museum’s permanent art collection.

An Awards Reception will be held Nov. 11th at 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.

“En plein air” is a French expression that refers to the 19th century style of painting outdoors.

Carnival games, a craft, available pony rides, and lots of treats chacacterize the largest event of the season at Zootah. Held October 27th and 28th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (gates close at 4:30). Bring treat bags and feel free to wear costumes.

4:00 PM Corn Maze on the Farm

Bring in the fall at AWHC with our Corn Maze on the Farm for some fall family fun. Visitors can walk through the corn maze, play in the bounce house and participate at our BB gun range. New this year, we have human bumper balls, 9 square in the air, and human foosball. Don't miss out!

Our annual teen after hours Humans versus Zombies (nerf war) event will be held Friday, October 27th 6-8:30pm.

For teens in grades Middle School and High School (ages 11 to 18).

Library doors will close at 6:30 pm to contain the fabulous food, fun and prizes! (and hopefully the not so fab zombies!)

Wear clothes you can get dirty. Closed toed shoes REQUIRED.

Participants are welcome to bring their own Nerf weaponry, but the libraries will have several provided as well.

7:00 PM Historic Downtown Logan Ghost Tour

An all new Ghost Tour awaits your arrival this Halloween Season in Downtown Logan.

The Bridgerland Storytelling Guild & Green Wolf Productions will raise the hair on your neck during your private guided tour into the heart of Logan’s Historic Downtown Theatre District!

The Historic Downtown Ghost Tour is technically a family-friendly tour, however, it is not recommended for small children or people who don’t like to be scared. You will need to be able to climb several stairs and be able to manage tight spaces.

Each guided tour runs approximately 2 hours and walking distance is about 1/2 mile, so dress to stay warm. Tours run nightly at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm Fridays and Saturdays (October 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28).

Plenty of FREE parking in downtown! Meet at the Thatcher-Young Mansion (35 East 100 South, Logan) 15 minutes before your tour. Each Ghost Tour includes a paranormal light stick.

Suspenseful stories that will thrill you and chill you down to the bone!

There’s a roof (road) overhead and chairs are provided, but, the tunnel is open at both ends, there’s no heat and the park’s restrooms may or may not be open that time of year. So, it would behoove you to dress appropriately and come prepared for the prevailing temperatures and conditions.

While these stories are not graphically violent, They’re still not recommended for kids under 8 years of age.
