All the World's a Stage: Costumes from Utah's Greats (Brigham City)

The Brigham City Museum of Art & History is pleased to present the exhibition All the World's a Stage: Costumes From Utah;s Greats opening Saturday, January 19, 2019. The exhibition will continue through Saturday, March 16, 2019.

The exclusive exhibition includes costumes designed, made, and used by performing arts companies from around the state including Utah Shakespeare Festival (Cedar City), Ballet West (Salt Lake City), Utah Opera (Salt Lake City), Utah Festival Opera (Logan), and Heritage Theater (Perry). In addition to original costumes, the exhibition features design drawings of some of the costumes, as well as photographs of the costumes and productions they were used in.

From January 17th to March 18th, 2015, the exhibit will be at the Brigham City Museum of Art and History. Opening Reception held January 17th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Refreshements available.

3:30 PM Teen Tuesday: Movie Mania!!

Looking for something fun to do after school or during the summer break? Then come to the library for Teen Tuesdays. We'll be doing something fun every Tuesday at 3:30 pm. <\p>

Kick back, and relax as we watch some spectacular Japanamation or other great flicks chosen by you! It can be a full length feature film, or short cartoons, but you get to decide. Feel free to bring snacks.

Note: all of the anime that we will be showing are Rated G, PG, or PG-13.

4:00 PM Cache Makers: Girls Aviation

This 6 week hands-on aviation activity will take participants through many aspects of being a pilot, from learning how airplanes are built, to weather, flight planning, and flying in a simulator and a real airplane in the sky. Girls will be mentored by the Women in Aviation USU Chapter.

Geared for girls aged 11 to 17. Participant must be enrolled in 4-H online.

USU Extension's Food Sense and the Logan Library, present a series of FREE lessons for Preschoolers through Second Grade and their Parents!

Each lesson will include:

  • Read a children's story book.
  • Talk about MyPlate and nutrition.
  • Play a physically active game.
  • Make and enjoy a healthy snack.

4:30 PM Green Drinks Logan

Bring a friend & order a drink! Green Drinks Logan is a FREE, fun, informal, networking event for everyone that focuses on social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Green Drinks Logan is held the last Tuesday of the month.

Guest for January 29th: Zane Morris, Triton Investments on the business case for solar on Oakridge.

Green Drinks Cache Valley is part of Green Drinks International. Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks. These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.

6:00 PM Evening Spanish-Language Storytime

The Logan Library presents evening Spanish language storytime Tuesdays at 6:00 pm. Led by native Spanish speakers, Hora del Cuento will be held in the Children’s Reading Corner at the library.

Both native speakers and those who would like a Spanish immersion experience are encouraged to attend. Please join us!

Spanish storytime is also available Wednesday Mornings at 10:15 am in the Lake Bonneville Room.

Evening Spanish Language Storytime will take a break during the summer months to return in September.

6:00 PM 500 Women Scientists Logan Pod Meeting

The 500 Women Scientists Logan Pod will be meeting at Jack's Wood Fired Oven for our monthly meeting. All who identify as female and as a scientist are welcome! The mission of 500 Women Scientists is to serve society by making science open, inclusive, and accessible.

Join us for a night of socializing, science, and fun. All persons interested in participating in the Logan Pod can attend this event. Dinner will be self-funded.
