The Block Film and Art Festival

1 block with 4 theatres transforms into a celebration of independent artistic expression Oct 7-8th. Film, Art, Music, & Film programmes.

The Logan Film Festival is a celebration of indie films that focuses on artistic expression and alternative views instead of big Hollywood names and budgets. This year we are combining with CVCA's October Gallery Walk.

3:30 PM Divorce Education for Children Class

A Divorce Education for Children class is being offered to assist children impacted by divorce. The class helps children to identify feelings common in divorce situations, while teaching them communication skills to express their feelings. Feedback received from both parents and children has been very positive; children are learning how to better communicate their feelings and parents are noticing positive changes in their child's behavior.

The Logan class is available to children enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade whose parents are divorced or divorcing. Please note, the class is intended for children only and parents are not allowed to attend the class. Pre-registration for the class is required.

7:00 PM Helicon West Open Mic Night

Helicon West is an open-mic reading/featured readers series for local poets and writers. Creative writers are invited to read up to 7 minutes of their original work. Arrive early to sign up. Readings are free, open to the public and uncensored.

Helicon West provides a regularly-scheduled place and time for members of the writing community to give their work a public voice, with no restrictions on levels of skill and no censorship of ideas or craft. Publication of readers' work is a main goal.

Sponsored by the USU Writing Center and the Logan Library.
