10:00 AM Baby Animal Days

Cache Valley's spring Baby Animal Days event at the American West Heritage Center is back! This Memorial Day weekend, May 22, 23 & 25, you and your household can safely enjoy an interactive, hands-on experience with many of our animals, including baby chicks, goats, turtles, and more. Thanks to America First Credit Union, other animals that will be joining include a baby zebra, baby foxes, and a teenage camel. If the stork lands in time, we may also have baby bison! Our event will be CoVID compliant and tickets may be limited, so be sure to buy your today at awhc.org! Thank you for supporting us!

Due to COVID and USDA restrictions, train rides, pony rides, and bison tours will be unavailable during this event. Buy a membership and come back later this summer to enjoy these amenities!

12:00 PM Resilience through Mind-Body Connection (VIRTUAL Event)

A group for individuals (ages 18+) struggling with trauma, depression, and/or anxiety including victims of crime. Participants will learn techniques to help increase awareness of one’s body, thoughts, and emotions. This group will be held virtually on Secure Online Telehealth.

4:00 PM Self-Regulation During Uncertainty Group (VIRTUAL Event)

This group is for adolescents ages 12-17. It will be Mondays, April 20th - June 8th held virtually on TeleHealth. Participants will learn and practice self-regulation skills to help them cope with stress from trauma victimization and the COVID-19 pandemic. This group is particularly beneficial for those with stress from the pandemic or other life stressors that are triggering unwanted feelings related to past traumatic events. Participants will be supported and guided in how to best cope during this stressful time. Facilitated by Cynthia Navarro Flores, M.A. Pre-doctoral Intern and Madison Elliot, MSW Intern.
