Built Environment Exhibit

In commemoration of Utah State University’s 130-year anniversary and the Year of the Arts, the Merrill-Cazier Library presents an exhibit celebrating USU’s Built Environment. The exhibition tells the story of USU’s development and highlights student and community efforts to shape the campus.

The exhibit runs from Jan. 29th through March 2nd.

There will be a grand opening on Feb. 8th in the library atrium at 4:30. Then at 5:30 in room 101 there will be a guest speaker, Martha Bradley Evans, a professor in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Utah.

4:00 PM Kid's Unplugged

This The Family Place class is a place for your kid's to uplug from technology and connect with new friends! Our interactive workshops help kids learn important social and emotional skills in an active, engaging, and fun environment!

Cost includes all kid's workshops and parent orientation. Call or register online.

Three age group options:

  • Ages 5-6: Tuesdays
  • Ages 7-9: Wednesdays
  • Ages 10-12: Thursdays

5:00 PM January Writing Workshops

The Cache Valley Community Writing Center will be holding the following writing workshops in February:

  • January 31st: Poetry Prompts
  • February 7th: Bad Romand Poetry
  • February 21st: Valentine's Day Short Stories
  • February 28th: Screen Writing Workshop

All CVCWC Worskhops are held in the Brider Room of the Logan Library from 5 pm to 6 pm, Wednesday nights. Free one-on-one tutoring is available from 6 pm to 7 pm. No registration required. Free and open to the public.

6:00 PM CERT Class

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

The class will meet 8 times, on Wednesday and Thursday nights for four weeks (ending Thursday, March 15th). Attendees must participate in all sessions to complete the course.

The Friends of Logan Library group is hosting speaker Steve Walker, who will talk about and show pictures from his travel around the world by bicycle.
