Utah Plein Air Exhibit (Brigham)

Painters and nature crossed paths during the Brigham City Museum’s Fourth Annual Plein Air Competition. The event was open to all ages. Winners of the competition are as follows: Susette Gertsch of Midway, First Place for “The Wild Garden”; Don Miskin of Logan, Second Place for “Farm to Market Road’; and G. Russell Case of Brigham City, Third Place for “Morning Flight.” All of these paintings received purchase prizes and will enter the museum’s permanent art collection.

An Awards Reception will be held Nov. 11th at 4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.

“En plein air” is a French expression that refers to the 19th century style of painting outdoors.
