9:00 AM Walk to End Alzheimer's

Everyone has a reason to end Alzheimer's.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.

While there is no fee to register, each participant is expected to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help each participant reach their fundraising goal.

10:00 AM Scout Saturday: Geology

Come for a day of geology just for Scouts!

Webelos will identify rocks and minerals used in some everyday objects, experiment with Moh’s hardness scale, and explore the forces that shape our earth. Registration required.

Boy scouts will compare and identify rocks and minerals, explore geologic careers, and study the rock cycle. Participants will be expected to complete some homework in advance, please register by November 14th. Registration required. Max. 10 scouts.

10:00 AM Valley Dance Ensemble Auditions

We are seeking dancers for the 2014-2015 season. If you are a mature, experienced dancer with an interest in more in-depth study in modern/contemporary dance, performance, and choreography, our company may be right for you. Develop your craft and enjoy dance with a fantastic organization!

Weekly class (W or TH; no charge) and rehearsals (weekday evenings and/or Sat mornings; Jan-April) required. Teaching opportunities exist for those interested. Opportunities for development and to work with local and guest choreographers occur every season.

Celebrate Mes De La Herencia Hispana!

Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15th to October 15th, and we're CELEBRATING! Come join the fun!

As part of our celebration, we will be showing the movie, The 33. When a gold and copper mine in Chile collapses, it traps 33 men underground for 69 days. Based on the incredible true story. Rated PG-13. It will be presented in English with Spanish subtitles.
