Friends of the Logan Library Public Big Book Sale

Mark your calendar for the Friends of the Logan Library Public Big Book Sale held at the library on Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Lake Bonneville Room.

Books purchased from Lake Bonneville Room will be sold at the price of $5.00 for a grocery-size plastic bag of books.

The Friends of the Logan Library Bookstore will also be open during the book sale, but will offer the regular prices of $1.00 for hardbacks and .50 cents for paperbacks. We accept cash and personal checks.

It's time to stock up on some good books to read! Mark your calendars and come on down to the Friends of the Logan Library Book Sale.

Come join us in the Lake Bonneville Room every Thursday afternoon at 3:30 for our After School Activity Programs. Each week is something different. Choose your interests or come every week! All activities are free and open to the public. Intended for kids age 5 to 11 and their families.

2nd Thursday: Technology With Cache Makers

3rd Thursday: Lego Club

4th Thursday: Stories and Crafts

6:00 PM Cache Naturalists Group

Cache Naturalists meet on the First Wednesday of Every Month for a guest speaker and discussion. December 2015 meeting held the second Wednesday of the month.

December 9th: Bryan Dixon will discuss 60 Years of the Logan Audubon Christmas Bird Count. Beginners and experienced birders are needed to help with this longest running citizen science program. Logan Poet Laureate Star Coulbrooke will open the program with a reading of some bird poems. Everyone is welcome.

  • Bryan Dixon has been a compiler or co-compiler for the Logan Christmas Bird Count since 1995. He has served in several capacities in Bridgerland Audubon Society over the years, including Outings Chair, Conservation Chair, Newsletter Editor, and President.

This event is open to all ages and all abilities.

Facilitated by Utah Master Naturalist, Jamie Wilde and Audobon Master Naturalist, Hilary Shughart.

Sponsored by the Bridgerland Audubon Society and Willow Park Zoo.

The 21th Annual Leonard J. Arrington Mormon History Lecture will feature Quincy D. Newell presenting a lecture titled "Narrating Jane: Telling the Story of an Early African American Mormon Woman".
