The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is building a beautiful new literary venue, The Swenson House, on the original site of the world-renowned poet May Swensons childhood home in Logan, Utah, at the bottom of Utah State Universitys Old Main Hill.
You are invited to be a part of this celebration, to join with poets and dignitaries, community members and business owners, teachers and students, to see this long-awaited dream of the May Swenson legacy come to fruition.
The Swenson Legacy Student Poetry Contest first Place Winner, Stacie Denetsosie, will read her poem at the ceremony. At 2:30, Logan Poet Laureate Star Coulbrooke will lead a Poetry Walkabout on the grounds, with poems by May Swenson and a writing prompt.
