Logan CDBG Outreach Workshop

Logan CDBG five-year planning process calls for resident input.

The City of Logan is announcing opportunities for residents to get involved in the creation of Logan's five-year Consolidation Plan for the CDBG Program. This plan will outline how funding will be utilized over the next five years.

The City of Logan is providing many ways to get involved! Including a brief survey on the city's website, public comment period, city council public hearing (Feb 19th at 5:30 pm), and several Outreach Workshops.

Outreach workshops are scheduled for 45 minutes on the following dates:

  • December 18th:
    • 12:00 pm & 4:00 pm at City Hall
  • December 19th:
    • 5:30 pm at City Hall
  • January 3rd:
    • 5:30 pm at City Hall
  • January 9th:
    • 12:00 pm at City Hall
  • January 9th:
    • 6:00 pm at the Whittier Center (290 N 400 E)

Logan Tabernacle Christmas Concert Series

The Logan Tabernacle presents its 2018 Christmas Concert Series, "Tidings of Comfort & Joy." All performances are free and open to the public. Most performances begin at 7:00 pm.

Parade of Gingerbread Homes

With the holiday season here, it’s time again for the 19th Annual Parade of Gingerbread Homes in Downtown Logan.

The event has grown into a much loved local tradition, not only for the architects who design gingerbread creations but for everyone who participates by voting on their favorite edible wonderland. This year, each architect will have a chance to win one of six $100 Grand Prizes! Voting Ballots are available at each site beginning Saturday, December 1st.

This is a self-guided walking tour and the sites and architects include:

3:30 PM Teen Tuesday: Video Games Galore!

Looking for something fun to do after school or during the summer break? Then come to the library for Teen Tuesdays. We'll be doing something fun every Tuesday at 3:00 pm.

We've got game! Do YOU? Whether it be Smashbros. Brawl, Minecraft, or Just Dance, get your game on! The Logan Library has the Nintendo Wii-U, XBOX360 and PS3 console going the whole 1.5 hrs. Exercise your thumbs and your skills and test your game against your friends. CONSIDER YOURSELF CHALLENGED!

5:00 PM Secrets: Shakespeare and the Connected World

A student-curated exhibit of 16th and 17th century rare books on science, medicine, and magic, from USU Special Collections #&38 Archives. Come learn about the secrets Shakespeare and his contemporaries found hidden in the connected world of nature, the stars, and the human body.

The exhibit will be on display from November 27th thur January 5th.

An opening reception will be held November 27th from 5pm to 7pm.

6:00 PM Evening Spanish-Language Storytime

The Logan Library presents evening Spanish language storytime Tuesdays at 6:00 pm. Led by native Spanish speakers, Hora del Cuento will be held in the Children’s Reading Corner at the library.

Both native speakers and those who would like a Spanish immersion experience are encouraged to attend. Please join us!

Spanish storytime is also available Wednesday Mornings at 10:15 am in the Lake Bonneville Room.

Evening Spanish Language Storytime will take a break during the summer months to return in September.

6:00 PM USU Latinx Family Night

Students and families of the Latinx community are invited to come learn about scholarships, paying for college, the admissions process, academic programs, and student services.

USU staff, professors, students, and parents will be available to share their stories and answer your questions. This is a perfect opportunity to begin your journey of becoming an Aggie. Fun activities will be available for young ones. Free food will be provided by Mo Betta's.
