11:00 AM Friends of the Logan Library Book Sale

Through a generous donation from Gene Needham, owner of the former store “Books of Yesterday,” the Friends of the Logan Library will host a large-scale book sale in the old Car Care Center at 321 N Main St, beginning Saturday, August 16, 2014. The sale will continue into October.

Over 30,000 books will be available for purchase, as well as some wooden tables and shelving units from the recently vacated store, all at extremely low “yard sale” type prices.

4:00 PM Angry (and other emotion) Birds Class

Through this class, help your 7-9 year old learn empathy, how to identify feelings, impulse control, anger management, problem solving, active listening, how to show concern, how to deal with conflicting feelings, accepting differences, and more!

7:30 PM Cache Valley Astronomical Society Meeting
The Cache Valley Astronomical Society is a community based astronomy club for the people of Cache Valley and northern Utah. They have monthly meetings in Logan, Utah, get together for occasional stargazing, and are happy to share their love of the night sky with everyone. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, except in the months of June, July and August when they schedule star parties instead. Everyone is welcome.
