Richmond Black and White Days
The very first Holstein show in Richmond was held in 1912. Over the years other activities have been added for the entire family can enjoy. It is currently the oldest Holstein cattle show west of the Mississippi.

Events begin on May 14 with the cattle show. Friday, May 17, will be our 'new' tradition of music and a movie in the park. Saturday dawns with the Chuckwagon Breakfast (prepared and served by the city council) and the Cowabunga Race. Numerous booths and fun rides open at 10AM in the sports field area just west of the grandstands. The parade begins at 5PM; it starts at 600 South State Street, heads north to Main, then ends in front of Park Elementary. At 7 pm the Draft Horse Pull begins.

Looking for something fun to do after school or during the summer break? Then come to the library for Teen Tuesdays. We'll be doing something fun every Tuesday at 4:00 pm.

Before the Wii, before the PS3, even before the ATARI, there were board games. Stop by the library on the second Tuesday of each month to play some of our favorites.
