No Child Left Inside Week Activity
Join us for a full week of fun "hands-on" activities led by local naturalists! All families are encouraged to attend, especially those with elementary-age children. Nature activities will take place at the following locations:

1) Mack Nature Park (in Smithfield Canyon, across the road from Mack Park)
2) Denzil Stewart Nature Park (in Logan, 1st South and 750 East, cross the river on pedestrian bridge)
3) Stokes Nature Center in Nibley (just south of Blacksmith Fork River turn right on 2600 South. Travel 200 meters and enter through gate on right side of road)

10AM (at Stewart NP): Give a bug a hug! (insects)
7PM (at Mack NP): Water bugs!

June 11:
10AM (at SNC Nibley): Nature Journaling
7PM (at Stewart NP): Tweeting and Twittering! (birds)
8PM: PBS Nature program "Hummingbirds: Magic in the Air"

June 12:
10AM (at Stewart NP): Bat Man!
7PM (at Mack NP): Edible and useful plants

June 13:
10AM (at Mack NP): Rock On! (rocks and minerals)
7PM (at SNC Nibley): Gone Fishin'!

June 14:
10AM (at Mack NP): Nature Crafts
7PM (at Stewart NP): Snakes Alive! (reptiles)

June 15:
10AM-12PM: Fun hike and Junior Naturalist Awards
(at King Nature Park Pavilion/Bonneville Shoreline Trail mouth of Green Canyon: eastern end of 1900 North, North Logan)

Summerfest Arts Faire

The Annual Summerfest Arts Faire is a juried art festival that features live music, good food, and more than a hundred fine artists whose mediums include oil and watercolor painting, fiber art, photography, acrylics, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and more. Summerfest festivities include a family art yard where youngsters can create a variety of arts projects themselves.

12:00 PM 6th Annual Bike with Brent

Bike with Brent is an incredible community event. Community members come to ride their bike with local celebrity Brent Carpenter. Don’t have a bike? No problem! Besides riding a bike, you can walk, jog, push a stroller or wheelchair, skate, or … anything you want!

Activities include:

  • Rock Climbing
  • Inflatable Bounce House
  • Pie Eating Contest at 10:30 am
  • Bike Polo Game at 11:00 am
  • Prize Drawings
  • Lunch available for purchase
  • and of course the Bike With Brent!

Registration and activities start at 9:30 am, ride at Noon. Pre-register at bikewithbrent.com or at CETC, 275 W 400 S, Logan. Cost: $15 adults, $10 children

6:00 PM Gallery Walk

Join us for a stroll around Logan’s Historic Downtown every 2nd Friday of every even month. Each Gallery Walk features fantastic art from world class artist. The store fronts and historic buildings of Logan’s downtown are one large gallery for the many fascinating art pieces that are displayed.

Maps of the Gallery Walk route can be found on the website, at Cache Valley Center for the Arts (43 S Main), or at the participating businesses, which will be marked with the official yellow banner (a list of participating businesses can also be found on the website). The Gallery Walk is free and open to the public. Some art work will be available for purchase.

7:30 PM Suessical! The Musical!
The Old Barn Community theatre presents "Suessical! The Musical!" Join Cat in The Hat, Horton, Gertrude McFuzz, and the rest of Dr. Seuss' gang as JoJo saves Whoville at The Old Barn Theatre! A short 15 minute drive west of Logan for lots of fun and excitement! Purchase tickets online or by phone. Oh the Places You'll Go!

The Old Lyric Repertory Company presents The Odd Couple at the Lyric Theatre.

When neurotic clean freak Felix Ungar is thrown out by his wife, he is forced to move in with his friend the slob, Oscar Madison. Sparks fly in this classic side-splitting comedy by Neil Simon. Rated Intermediate for mild language, alcohol and smoking.
