Logan Library Storytime Registration
Logan Library's Storytime is a program for children ages 3-5. It introduces children to books, reading and the library. Storytime is offered Tuesday-Thursday at 11:00AM and 1:00PM. Registration is required for each block of Storytime. Each block lasts six weeks. Each session lasts up to 30 minutes.

Registration is required and is open from February 11th to March 1st. You can register online, by phone, or in person at the library.

For children under three, we have a Toddler Time program Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 11AM that lasts approximately 15 minutes. This is a drop-in storytime and does not require pre-registration.

Financial Planning for Women
Financial Planning for Women (FPW) is a free monthly educational workshop designed to help women take control of their financial future. The mission of Financial Planning for Women is to educate women about personal finance and investing and motivate them to take responsibility for their financial future. The seminar meets the 2nd Wednesday (except August and December) at two times: 11:30AM-12:30PM at the USU Taggart Student Center room 336 (bring your lunch); and 7:00-8:30PM at the Family Life Center, 493 North 700 East, Logan (bottom of Old Main Hill). The longer evening time allows for more discussion. Programs are free and registration is not required.

Topics at upcoming workshops include:

May 8: Great Mutual Funds for your Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
June 12: Getting your house in order before buying a house
July 10: Saving for college with 529 college savings plans
August: NO MEETING
September 11: "Social Security and Retirement Timing," presented by financial planner Suzanne Dalebout, Head of Women's Division at Legacy Financial Group, LLC in Salt Lake City

VITA - Tax Assistance
With the help of IRS certified volunteers, come get your federal and state taxes done for free. Simply call 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment.

VITA, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, is a program implemented through the statewide Earn It. Keep It. Save It. Coalition made up of local community partners. The coalition works to recruit IRS certified volunteers that provide free tax preparation services to low to moderate-income households (incomes below $51,000 in 2012).

Sites are available Monday - Friday beginning January 28, 2013 - April 12, 2013.

The Bear River Health Department and the Logan City Fire Department will be hosting a free community Car Seat Check at the Hillcrest Fire Station. Appointments preferred but not required. A limited number of car seats will be available for purchase.
