2:30 PM The Importance of Being Earnest Matinee
The Old Barn Community Theatre presents The Importance of Being Earnest, written by Oscar Wilde, directed by Sarah Knowles. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone. This event is sponsored by ConService, the Utah Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Box Elder County.

The Importance of being Earnest opens as we learn that Jack Worthing leads a double life: Earnest in town and in love with Gwendolyn; Jack in the country and the guardian of the lovely Cecily. To keep the rouse up he has created an irresponsible brother named Earnest whose poor behavior drags him frequently to town to rescue him from his recklessness. However, when Jack's friend Algy comes to the country and introduces himself as Earnest, confusion ensues. Add in Cecily’s absent-minded tutor, a love struck rector, two dry and pessimistic butlers, and Gwendolyn’s overbearing mother with outrageous hats, and you too will discover the importance of being Earnest.
