UPR Series: Ride the Rails

Enjoy UPR's original series Ride the Rails: a storytelling exploration uncovering the forgotten stories of the early railroads.

This one-hour special examines with fresh eyes Utah's history with the railroad on the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike. Join us as we explore Utahn's interactions with the complex and rich history of the railroad.

The audio documentary premiers on Utah Public Radio, Friday, May 10th at 10am and Saturday, May 11th at 3:00 pm. It will also be available at upr.org, the UPR app or wherver you get your podcasts.

The Cache Rock and Gem Club is holding it's annual Rock Show. Rocks, minerals, fossils, jewelry, displays, educational exhibits, hands-on demos, door prizes. Activities for the kids: Wheel of Fortune, Mystery Bags, Treasure Hunt. For groups of 20 or more contact Shawndra.

7:30 PM See How They Run

The Old Barn Community theatre presents See How They Run, directed by Matthew "Socks" Jeppesen.

Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are an American actor and actress (he is now stationed with the Air Force in England), a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, an old maid who "touches alcohol for the first time in her life," four men in clergyman suits presenting the problem of which is which (for disguised as one is an escaped prisoner), and a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings-on and the trumped up stories they tell him.

Doors open at 7:00 pm; Performance at 7:30 pm

Matinee performances on August 1st and 8th at 2:30 pm.
