Logan Library Storytime Registration
Logan Library's Storytime is a program for children 5 and under that introduces children to books, reading, and the library. Each Storytime we explore a different theme through books, songs, puppet stories, fingerplays, and more!

Registration is required for our preschool Storytime for children ages 3 to 5. It is 30 minute program offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Choose a day and time and go to http://library.loganutah.org/kids/storytime.cfm to register your child. Each registration lasts for 1 block which is six weeks.

Upcoming Registration Dates are as follows:

Block 2 Monday, October 7th to Saturday, October 26th
     Block 2 registration begins Monday, October 7th and ends Saturday October 26th.
     Storytime for Block 2 begins Tuesday, October 22nd.

Block 3 Monday, December 2nd to Saturday, January 11th
     Block 3 registration begins Monday, December 2nd and ends Saturday, January 11th.
     Storytime for Block 3 begins Tuesday, January 7th.

Block 4 Monday, February 10th to Saturday, March 1st
     Block 4 registration begins Monday, February 10th and ends Saturday, March 1st.
     Storytime for Block 4 begins Tuesday, February 25th.

Block 5 Monday, March 31st to Saturday April 19th
     Block 5 registration begins Monday, March 31st and ends Saturday April 19th.
     Storytime for Block 5 begins Tuesday, April 15th.

For children under three, we have a Toddler Time program Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 11AM that lasts approximately 15 minutes. This is a drop-in storytime and does not require pre-registration.

6:00 PM Gallery Walk
CVCA Gallery Walk will feature many talented artists at various galleries and businesses in downtown Logan. Art lovers of every description will have the opportunity to socialize and tour a full spectrum of spaces and mediums – all in one evening. Start at any participating location.

Maps of the Gallery Walk route can be found on the website, at Cache Valley Center for the Arts (43 S Main), or at the participating businesses, which will be marked with the official yellow banner (a list of participating businesses can also be found on the website). The Gallery Walk is free and open to the public. Some art work will be available for purchase.

Myth or Fact: Can a penny dropp from the top of the Empire State building kill someone?

Myth or Fact: Can the perfect muder be committed using a bullet made of ice?

The Society of Physics Students will test these other myths at the SPS Mythbusters night! Hands-on activities for all ages.

8:00 PM Calling all Animal Loves
Animal Shelter Medicine

presentation by Dr. Jyothi Robertson, DVM

Dr. Robertson is an internationally known speaker and consultant on shelter and animal welfare issues and owner of JVR Shelter Strategies (www.shelterstrategies.com).

This rpesentation aims to inform about the role of medicine in shelters, along with implementation of various strategies effective in helping to keep shelter animals safe, happy, and healthy.

The dedicated work behind the scenes in shelters affects the lives of our pets and our communities every day. Come and learn from one of the top veterinarians in this emerging specialty about how medicine is approached in a shelter setting. The 1 hour lecture will introduce the Association of Shelter Veterinarians' Shelter Guidelines. Examples and case histories will demonstrate the benefit to shelters of these effective and powerful tools.
