SNC: Naturalist Expedition: Bird-watching

Join a verified SNC Bird Nerd for a lovely bird watching expedition to the Bear River Bottoms. We will teach you the necessary skills to be a top-notch birder, and we’ll bring along our collection of binoculars and bird books!

This site features excellent bird habitat: marshes, floodplains, and fields along the beautiful Bear River. Be on the lookout for sandhill cranes, herons, pelicans, ducks, geese, and all manner of song birds.

Our van will seat 14 passengers, please RSVP! It’s about a 30 min drive to the Bear River Bottoms (41°56'17.6"N 111°56'31.4"W), no restrooms on site.

Suggested Packing List: Camera, Hat/Sunscreen, A snack & water, Close-toed shoes, Long, light weight pants, Boots/wet-friendly foot-gear recommended, Allergy medicine (if applicable).
