Come and see a historically-informed 1/2-scale Medieval Trebuchet throw pumpkins, bowling balls, and other projectiles! Standing 33 feet tall and weighing more than a ton, this is the largest trebuchet in the state of Utah, and it uses Medieval construction techniques and wooden axles. This year it will have an added windlass mechanism and will be using more counterweight. Learn about the history of trebuchets and medieval technology. Witness the power of the superior siege engine. Rain or shine, Benson will be besieged, and things will be hurled in style. All are invited. Light refreshments provided, but no services available. Hosted by the USU History Department.
