Sigma Tau Delta and USU's English Department will be hosting the First Annual Jane Austen Spring Ball at the Whittier Center. The evening's events will include whist, a scene from the musical "Emma", a brief musical program, commemorative photographs, refreshments, and, of course, dancing! Regency dancing classes will be taught in the weeks leading up to the event, listed below.

April 11th, 7:00 p.m., HPER 102: "Ginny's Market" Dance Lesson
April 18th, 7:00 p.m. HPER 102: "Northanger Abbey" Dance Lesson
April 20th, 11:30 a.m., HPER 215: Review of All Three Dances
This event is also sponsored by Kneader's Bakery & Café, Shaffer House Bakery, Crumb Brothers, and FreeStyle Dance Company. Tickets will be available online or at the English Department Main Office. The entrance fee is $5 per person. Dancing lessons are casual dress. Please come to the ball in period dress (or simply in your finest frock), strap on your cravat or your dancing shoes, and come for a night of well-mannered frivolity!
